Iowa sees ATM crime spree

Police in Des Moines, Iowa are investigating at least 10 ATM burglaries or attempted burglaries which resulted in more than $20,000 stolen. Police suspect the cases may be connected to a national group, according to a Axios Des Moines report.

The crimes, which have occurred since May, involve a group of thieves that travel together, then steal trucks that can rip out ATMs with a chain. Authorities believe that criminals learn how to get money from ATMs by watching Youtube videos.

The investigation is ongoing.
