INETCO, Digi-Tech partner to provide IP connectivity to leased-line ATMs

February 21, 2002

BURNABY, British Columbia -- INETCO Systems Limitedand Digi-Tech Communications Limited today announced a partnership to jointly develop BankLink Vista, an IP terminal adapter designed to interface with legacy ATMs. BankLink Vista is focused primarily on financial institutions and ATM network operators.

According to the two companies, the adapter will provide connectivity of leased line ATMs over IP networks. BankLink Vista, a small box that connects to ATMs via RS-232, connects to central INETCO BankLink servers over IP. The BankLink servers, in turn, connect to a transaction switch and EFT processors. Along with connectivity, network management is provided through the BankLink network management interface.

"BankLink Vista decreases the costs of running ATMs by eliminating leased line networks, and increases reliability by allowing alternate routing," said David Soul, president and CEO of INETCO.

Digi-Tech Communications Limited is a privately owned New Zealand company established in 1976. Digi-Tech develops data communications solutions for selected international markets.

INETCO Systems Limited of Vancouver, Canada provides products that allow POS and ATM terminals to connect to banking hosts, transaction processors and third party networks.
