Industry vets create new ATM service company

January 3, 2005

BEAVERTON, Ore. - The name might be new, but the experts with more than 40 years of combined experience are not.

Several ATM service professionals formerly associated with Bluewire Technologies, CCS Express and E*Trade Financial have formed a new company called Solvport.

According to a news release, Solvport offers a solution to organizations that require assistance in servicing what it calls Information Transaction Machines (ITMs), including ATMs and kiosks.

Solvport's in-house certified call center technicians currently handle thousands of calls a month for more than 20,000 ATMs nationwide, troubleshooting ATM and kiosk technical issues either to resolution or escalation. Average phone response time is 12 seconds.

According to the release, utilizing Solvport's On{e}Call process for handling and escalation, ensures unit uptime for their clients' customers, and provides an affordable alternative to in-house full-time technical staff.

Solvport manages large and small-scale ATM conversions and Triple DES upgrade projects with field technicians in 34 metropolitan areas throughout the United States

"Solvport provides companies the agility they need to deliver amazing performance in this competitive industry," said Wayne Vandekraak, the company's chief executive and the former vice president of operations for Bluewire Technologies.

Other members of Solvport's management team include: Mike Roeter, director of operations; and Joe Stevens, PMP, director of project logistics.
