INDONESIA -- PT Bank International Indonesia (BII) has entered an agreement to provide American Express Bank customers with access to its 600 ATMs in Indonesia, according to a finextra.com report.
The agreement is the continuation of a partnership that started last year, which allows American Express card members to pay their bills through BII ATMs. Earlier this year, the two companies signed another agreement to enable members to make cash advances through BII's ATMs.
According to a member of BII's management team, this is the first time BII has opened its ATM network to a foreign bank.
BII has a network of 259 branch offices and a customer base of 2.1 million.
