Illinois police arrest 2 for ATM theft

Police have arrested two men in Havana, Illinois for allegedly targeting ATMs throughout Illinois.

Marol Maglui Aguiar Rodriguez, 20, and Leandro Magdiel Bordones Villegas, 26, are accused of burglary, criminal damage to property, theft and more, according to a report by Journal Star.

The pair allegedly hacked into ATMs to withdraw large amounts of cash. In one incident, someone used a false key to get into an ATM to withdraw money.

Detectives were able to track a car involved in the burglaries using surveillance footage, according to the news report.
