A Wood County, Wisconsin, jury found Garcia Albarracin, 36, guilty of jackpotting a Simplicity Credit Union ATM in Marshfield. In the incident, he installed software on the ATM to make it dispense $114,550 illegitimately, according to a report by OnFocus news.
The jury found him guilty of being party to crimes of theft from a financial institution and interference with an ATM. He is one of three men charged for this incident, including Alejandro J. Sevilla Sanabria, 26, who was sentenced to three years in prison and four years of supervision. Jhoenderson D. Rojas Eganez, 28, is still awaiting trial.
The theft was first reported on Dec. 16, 2024.
