IFX Forum sets annual meeting for April 19-22 in Texas

The Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX) Forum has scheduled its 2010 annual meeting for April 19-22 in Irving, Texas.
According to a news release from IFX Forum Inc., during the forum the latest version of the IFX specification for electronic financial messaging is expected to be presented. Members also will elect directors and plan work for the coming year. The IFX Forum is an international, non-profit industry association whose mission is to develop and promote the adoption of its open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange. More information about the forum's 2010 meeting, along with registration information, is available atwww.ifxforum.org. The IFX specification can be accessed athttp://bms.ifxforum.org/. In addition to the rollout of the new version of IFX and the elections, the April event will feature day-long collaborative sessions for the forum's working groups, as well as open-architecture committee meetings, where plans for the forum's future work will be developed. The event kicks off Monday morning with an expanded "Introduction to IFX" session. "Our focus over the past year has been incorporating the significant amount of feedback received since our initial release of IFX Version 2 in November 2008," said IFX Forum president Richard P. Urban. IFX Version 2 exemplifies the forum's commitment to a business-first, service-oriented approach to standards development, which has been well received. Hundreds of organizations worldwide have used IFX since its first release more than 10 years ago, representing a cross-section of the worldwide financial services industry.
