Hyperion Bank intros CD promotion with 5.65% APY

Hyperion Bank introduced a limited-time certificate of deposit promotion with a 5.65% annual percent yield for 15 months. It is available for new funds deposited within the previous 30 days at the bank, according to a press release.
"We see the year-end as a terrific time to offer customers — including new ones — this special CD promotion," Charlie Crawford, CEO and chairman of Hyperion, said in the release. "It's a win-win toward continuing to grow deposits and introduce ourselves to new customers. For one, 'laddering' CDs can be a great way to diversify: That is, having multiple CDs with multiple maturity dates and even across different financial institutions."
Applicants must have a minimum balance of $2,500 and a maximum of $500,000, and all online applications must be approved.
