Hyosung EPP gets Visa approval

August 9, 2004

SEOUL - Nautilus Hyosung says the Encrypting Pin Pad (EPP) on its ATM products has been certified as being compliant with new security requirements from Visa International.

Nautilus Hyosung's EPP successfully passed testing by Infogard, a Visa recognized laboratory.

According to a news release, Nautilus Hyosung is planning to standardize an EPP on all exported ATM models, and is considering sales of an individual EPP unit.

"Our compliance with Visa EPP requirements, along with other security related certifications like EMV and UL, make our ATM products comparable to ATMs from well known companies in terms of quality," said Chul-han Park, chief technical officer at Nautilus Hyosung.
