The company h.way launched its digital banking account for Hispanic users, which provides a variety of services such as debit cards, ATM access, early payday, round-up savings and remittances, according to a press release.
The account does not require minimum balances and doesn't charge monthly or maintenance fees to meet the needs of unbanked households. In addition, it provides access to more than 60,000 surcharge-free ATMs.
"Our goal is to help Hispanics realize their economic potential, thus improving their lives and positively impacting the U.S. GDP," Lionel Carrasco, co-founder and CEO of h.way, said in the release. "We're addressing the unmet core banking needs of our Hispanic consumers, with solutions such as no maintenance fees, no minimum balance and a fully bilingual end-to-end experience. We are also tailoring our services to the diverse subsegments within the Hispanic market, providing features not available in many traditional banking apps, such as coverage for unexpected medical emergencies, integrated international money transfers, investments and AI-enabled conversational financial services. From hard-working immigrants who need to send money back home to the high-income corporate professionals born abroad investing in stocks and ETFs, we're here to serve, connect and uplift our growing and increasingly influential Hispanic community."
