Huntington Bank partners with Magnusmode to deliver banking app for autistic, neurodiverse users

December 21, 2022

Huntington National Bank, a subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares Inc., has partnered with Magnusmode to utilize its MagnusCard solution for autistic and neurodiverse users. The solution offers digital step-by-step visual guides to help neurodiverse users navigate banking apps, according to a press release.

The Card Decks offer visual, text and audio instructions for a variety of tasks such as using an ATM or depositing a check via mobile. Nadia Hamilton founded Magnusmode as a way to help her autistic brother.

"The world can be challenging to navigate for autistic and neurodiverse people. Community spaces, including banks, can be confusing, overwhelming, and difficult for these individuals to navigate without assistance," Hamilton said in the release "As a society, we have the wonderful opportunity to welcome, engage, and support people who are different and move through the world differently."

"Putting people first — our customers, colleagues, and communities — is at the very core of everything we do," Steven Steinour, chairman, president and CEO, Huntington, said in the release. "Huntington Bank is proud to team up with Magnusmode to help bring practical tools to autistic and neurodiverse people. Our relationship helps us achieve our vision to be the leading 'people-first, digitally powered' bank for all customers."
