Huntington National Bank opened its first branch in North Carolina in Charlotte. This branch features tellers, ATMs and personal and private bankers, according to a press release.
This is part of the bank's strategy to open around 55 branches in the Carolinas and hire more than 350 bankers. The bank will open another branch in Charlotte's South End in September.
"Huntington's expansion in North Carolina is a key part of our strategy to bring our full franchise to high-growth markets," Brant Standridge, president of consumer and regional banking, Huntington, said in the release. "Establishing a physical branch network in the Carolinas reinforces our long-term commitment to our communities. We're excited to deliver our full suite of personal, wealth, business and commercial banking capabilities to customers across this dynamic region."
