May 12, 2003

ROCKLIN, Calif. -- Futurex, Inc., a provider of payment security products for the financial industry, has formed a strategic alliance with XP Systems, a unit of Fiserv, Inc., to resell the Excrypt™ line of Host Security Modules.

According to a news release, the alliance allows XP Systems to co-market with Futurex the Excrypt™ SSP7000 Host Security Module (HSM) to credit unions that use XP Systems' CAT (Controller for Automated Tellers) intercept processing solution.

The Excrypt™ Host Security Modules have been certified by XP Systems for compatibility with XP products. In addition, they have a secured upgrade path to industry standards such as Triple DES encryption, Derived Unique Key Per Transaction (DUKPT) and advanced key management features used by both Excrypt™ and the CAT intercept processing software.
