Hitachi banking on Japanese shift to biometric ATM IDs

MarketWatch:  Representatives from Hitachi Ltd. said June 6 that the company plans to quadruple sales of its finger-vein-based biometrics systems over the next three years. The Tokyo-based electronics conglomerate said it is preparing for an influx in business next year, when Japanese banks are expected to introduce ATMs using the system.
