Hawaii police investigating ATM crime spree

Hawaiian police are investigating an ATM crime spree in the Kona area of the Island of Hawaii. There were three ATM thefts in January, according to a report by Khon 2.

A stolen vehicle was used for the thefts at a gas station, outside a business and outside a retail shopping center. In addition, in August 2022, a white pickup truck was used to steal an ATM outside of a business. Police later found the ATM and truck on fire on Mamalahoa Highway.

The investigation is ongoing.
