Haverhill, Massachusetts to vote on crypto ATM ban

The Haverhill, Massachusetts, City Council plans to vote on an ordinance banning crypto ATMs. If passed, this ordinance would give crypto ATM operators 60 days to leave the city, according to a report by WHAV.

City Solicitor Lisa L. Mead said that this ordinance will protect city residents from financial risks. The ordinance will fine violators up to $300 a day if they refuse to comply.

Recently, Indiana became the first state to ban crypto ATMs and Minnesota is currently debating a ban. On the local side,Layton City, Utah banned crypto ATMs in March.
