According to a news release, the move will create more than 100 jobs over the next 12 months. The Centre of Excellence will provide help desk, IT, logistics and technical services support for the company's existing UK operation and the planned European rollout beginning with Holland in mid-January.

The planned changes will create two separate entities. The UK operating business, incorporating sales, telemarketing and service, will be headed by Rob Grouse, currently national sales manager, who will take on the role of managing director.

Patrick Peasgood, Hanco's existing customer services director, will become managing director of the Centre of Excellence.

Current managing director Todd Hannon will return to the United States to work alongside Hanco chairman Tom Hannon as executive vice president, overseeing the European operation.

The senior Hannon said the changes in the UK operation reflected the success that his company has experienced over the past three years. "The company has gone from a standing start to becoming the largest independent ATM supplier in the UK, operating more than 4,000 machines," he said.
