NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Gruppo Bipielle - Banca Popolare di Lodi has selected Diebold Inc. to service more than 800 cash dispensers in the bank's ATM network in Italy.
The agreement between the two companies covers both traditional and dedicated maintenance services, including deployment and installation of the ATM fleet, software and hardware updates, help desk, remote monitoring, and the integration of ATM networks belonging to financial institutions recently acquired by Gruppo Bipielle, according to a news release.
The current fleet of ATMs consists of 300 Diebold units and 500 third- party machines, which will all be serviced by Diebold.
"We chose Diebold after a thorough assessment of the company's capability to service a multi-vendor ATM network with the highest level of reliability and efficiency," said Roberto Ravani, director of the Central Purchasing Division, Banca Popolare di Lodi, in the release. "This agreement with Diebold provides us with a complete service solution that addresses both the service needs and business objectives of our ATM network."
