GRG International today announced that it is launching a new marketing program in the United States to help banks, credit unions and other financial institutions comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
GRG said its new series of bank ATMs are fully ADA compliant. Most major U.S. processor networks also have certified the newest model GRG ATMs for use.
According to GRG's marketing program, companies can purchase a GRG ATM with a three-year parts warranty. The deal includes ADA-compliant local text-to-speech software and GRG "Tool Plus" diagnostic software.
"This represents a significant savings as compared to the traditional North American programs," company officials said. "The inclusion of a comprehensive three-year parts warranty demonstrates GRG's commitment to quality assurance and confidence in the long-term durability of the software."
The United States Justice Department issued the new ADA standards in July. The standards address both physical access, and communication elements to make ATMs usable by individuals who are visually impaired as well as individuals confined to wheel chairs.
Financial institutions must comply with the 2010 standards before March 15, 2012.
Established in 2008, GRG International is a joint venture of GRG Banking Equipment (HK) Co., Limited, and other shareholders. GRG International markets its products in Australia and North America. GRG Banking Equipment has its headquarters in Guangzhou, China.
