Gladiator attacks problems of complex risk monitoring, management for FIs

The ProfitStars division of Jack Henry & Associates Inc., a provider of technology solutions and payment processing services for FIs, has announced the release of Gladiator Incident Alert for breach detection and notification.

ProfitStars developed solution as a scalable means to identify deep-level threats that might go undetected by traditional protections such as firewalls and endpoint security, according to a press release.

The solution uses sandbox technology to obtain detailed information about malware behavior. In the case of suspicious activity, it alerts the financial institution with detailed warnings that enable quick assessment and response.

The combination of Gladiator threat intelligence and sandbox file testing adds another layer of protection against zero-day and advanced persistent threats, thanks to its ability to recognize even highly targeted and evasive malware recognized.

Gladiator also offers the assistance of skilled able to provide around-the-clock assistance, if needed.

"In order to keep pace with the rapid digitization of consumers' lives, enterprise records, and the sophisticated threat landscape, financial institutions must implement an additional layer of defense beyond traditional malware protection," said ProfitStars President Russ Bernthal in the release. "Adding Gladiator Incident Alert as part of a comprehensive risk management process helps prevent damaging security breaches by reducing the time to discovery."

Incident Alert does not require a particular core system or software application. The solution can be fully integrated into Gladiator CoreDefense Managed Security Services, the release said.
