Gasper gains new client in Mauritius

March 14, 2002

DAYTON, Ohio -- The State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) has licensed Gasper Manager software provided by the Gasper Corporation to manage its ATM network and to improve the availability of ATMs in Mauritius as well as at three branches in India.

SBM is one of the leading commercial banks in Mauritius -- an island country in the Indian Ocean -- and the winner of the 2001 Bank of the Year Award in that country. It is recognized as one of the world's top 1,000 banks.

The bank's network includes 45 branches, 85 ATMs, and 1,000 point-of-sale terminals serving more than 380,000 individuals and business customers.

"SBM requires reliable software that allows us to improve our banking infrastructure, while supporting our continuing efforts to modernize and globalize," said Sailesh Sewpaul, team leader of Online Services for SBM. "Gasper Manager allows our ATMs to operate reliably, so that our banking services are more convenient and easily accessible."

"We are happy to see State Bank of Mauritius join Gasper's community of users from around the world," said Kamal Sibai, sales manager of Gasper Corp. for Middle East Africa and Eastern Europe.

Gasper Corporation and State Bank of Mauritius work together through Blanche, Birger Co. Ltd, the NCR sole distributor and local representative for State Bank of Mauritius.
