DALLAS -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions has teamed with Philadelphia-based software developer mCom LLC to offer a new ATM application that creates personalized ATM screens tailored to a customer's transaction needs and patterns of interaction and behavior.
The new software, based on mCom's multi-channel product suite, integrates with Fujitsu's Series 8000 ATMs and Prism software. According to a news release, the Fujitsu-mCom software enables banks to add online banking services and non-traditional transaction services, ranging from bill payment and accessing account information to purchasing movie and event tickets, to an ATM transaction.
The software enables a personalized interface, based on the customer's preferences, that remains consistent across all customer touch points -- at an ATM, through online banking, branch kiosks or even through a PDA, according to the release.
Under the agreement, effective immediately, Fujitsu will offer mCom's suite as a value-added portion of its ATM products and services, and mCom will develop and integrate the software.
In a recent survey conducted by Atlanta-based Synergistics Research Corp., 33 percent of polled ATM users said that on-screen ads for financial services would be useful and almost half of those surveyed approved of ATM-dispensed discount coupons for services or general merchandise.
