FRISCO, Texas -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. and mCom Financial Solutions have released their first commercial ATM application based on a strategic alliance the two firms formed last year.
Named Prism 1:1, the application lets medium and small financial institutions offer revenue-generating services designed to meet customer needs on a "one-to-one" basis, according to a news release.
Prism 1:1 features can include name display; frequent withdrawal preference; displayed account balances; data and event reminders; stock market, sports or weather updates; concert/event ticket dispensing; statement history and e-mail transaction receipts.
"Prism 1:1 allows customers to custom-design their ATM experiences from their own computers," said Neill Collins, Fujitsu's vice president of financial systems product operations. "It speeds the typical ATM transaction by minimizing keystrokes. It can also lower a financial institution's ATM-related costs by streamlining channel management."
In 2002, Fujitsu teamed with mCom to create enhanced software and services for the company's ATM product line. mCom is a Philadelphia-based software and solutions provider.
Philadelphia-based NOVA Savings Bank is deploying Prism 1:1 in a Fujitsu Series 8015 cash dispenser located in Villanova University's on-campus field house. Complete with top-to-bottom "Villanova Wildcats" branding, the unit was designed specifically for university students, offering cash and customized banking services.
