FSS, Entrust Datacard to deliver instant card issuance in India

Together, the companies will offer instant, in-branch card issuance solutions to support social security and financial inclusion initiatives across the country.

Financial Software & Systems, a provider of payments technology and processing, has partnered with Entrust Datacard, a provider of card issuance and personalization solutions, to offer instant, in-branch card issuance solutions to support social security and financial inclusion initiatives in India.

According to an FSS press release, the company will offer a new instant issuance solution that will help financial institutions by eliminating mailing costs and giving consumers instant purchasing power.

"Today, banks in India are focusing on new technologies to build a deeper engagement with their customers," said FSS Managing Director Nagaraj Mylandla. "The hosted instant card issuance solution that we are introducing through our partnership with Entrust Datacard is one such technology that will assist banks in India to achieve service excellence."

"We believe this partnership will accelerate both financial inclusion initiatives and digital access to the payments systems," said Datacard Managing Director for South Asia Rajiv Singh.

Chennai, India-based FSS serves more than 100 banks around the world, including the majority of public and private sector banks in India, the release said.
