NEWPORT-ON-TAY, Scotland - Fox Home Entertainment will be the first advertiser to run four conscecutive campaigns on ATM:ad - a targeted advertising solution than runs across ATM networks.
According to a news release, Fox will in April begin to advertise and promote a special price offer on four DVD movies at 146 ASDA stores throughout the United Kingdom using ATM:ad. The ads will run across cashpoints for four weeks. Each ad will feature snippets of live video from the movies, as well as receipt reminders of the price promotion. ATM:ad is the 8-week period.
"The fact that the majority of ATM users access the machine immediately before going in to the store, along with the consumer insights that our target audience are on the lookout for special offers, and tend to pay by cash rather than with credit cards, meant that we had a perfect fit in terms of targeting and environment," said Starcom Mediavest account manager, Tom Brunner. Starcom laid out the campaign for Fox.
ATM:ad has been around since June 2004.
