Former NFL player arrested for ATM theft

Mississippi law enforcement has arrested former NFL player Jerrell Quantez Powe for allegedly kidnapping a man and forcing him to withdraw money from an ATM.

Powe played in the NCAA for the Ole Miss Rebels from 2008 to 2010 and played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans and Washington Redskins (now known as the Commanders), until 2016, according to a report by Law & Crime.

Gavin Allen Bates was also arrested for allegedly acting as an accomplice to the kidnapping. Upon arriving at the scene at a Chase Bank in Madison, Mississippi, the victim told officers he had been kidnapped in Laurel by the two men, according to the report.
