The San Francisco Chronicle: A former technician for a San Francisco company that leases ATMs is accused of leading a ring suspected of swiping seven ATMs across San Francisco.
"You would have to have inside knowledge in order to attempt something like this and get away so cleanly," said police Lt. Thomas Buckley. "They were thwarting the internal security measures taken by the company."
The estimated loss from the stolen machines and the cash in them is more than $100,000.
Three men total were arrested in early April and charged with crimes in connection with three of the seven thefts.
