AUSTIN, Texas -- Tyndall Federal Credit Union of Panama City, Fla. has installed four Wincor NixdorfcompactBANK ATMs -- advanced-function machines that offer coin and cash acceptance and dispensing, immediate credit for ATM deposits and the ability to scan checks -- intwo of its branch locations.
According to a news release, the credit union is expected to offer several new services at the ATMs, including printing statements, cashier's checks and loan documents; notifying customers of pre-approved loan status; and accepting first-time deposits from new customers.
Janet Turner, Tyndall's vice president of interactive services, said that the credit union wanted a Web-based ATM that could connect to Tyndall's network and integrate with its call center and CRM system. "Wincor Nixdorf was the only company that understood Tyndall's vision, and the compactBANK was already there technologically," she said in the release.
Noting that IBM Global Services, which markets, sells and services Wincor Nixdorf ATMs in the U.S., played a role in winning the contract, Scott Hackl, vice president of Wincor Nixdorf Banking Solutions, said, "Tyndall is a perfect example of the successful relationship between IBM and Wincor Nixdorf."
Wincor Auto Tell, a subsidiary of Wincor Nixdorf, provided software support and systems integration for Tyndall Federal Credit Union. Wincor Auto Tell developed applications based on Wincor Nixdorf's Pro Topas software, which allow the compactBANKs to fully integrate with Tyndall's credit union application from Summit Software.
Tyndall Federal Credit Union serves more than 76,000 customers worldwide and has assets of more than $568 million.
