BROOKFIELD, Wis. - Fiserv Inc. has launched enhancements to its Web-based remote deposit technology.
According to a news release, the enhancements improve services through Fiserv's BankLink, Item Processing and Vison solution sets. Customers of financial institutions that facilitate transactions through remote-deposit benefit from advanced-filter, print and zoom capabilities, as well as entitlement-driven user review and the ability to repair incorrect magnetic ink character recognition formats.
In 2005, Fiserv's BankLink unit, which provides treasury-management products and services, developed remote-deposit as a module of iLink, the business unit's platform of Web-based treasury management. The technology was later adopted by Item Processing, North America's largest third-party check-processor, and Vision, which provides community and commercial banks with a complete online-banking solution.
Fiserv offers a thin-client remote-deposit application, providing key functionality within the browser application, including character-amount recognition/legal amount recognition (CAR/LAR) and image-quality and usability assessment (IQA/U).
