DAYTON, Ohio -- Fiserv, whose ATM management unit Fiserv EFT has been using software from the Gasper Corporation for the past five years, is evaluating a move to Gasper Vantage, the newest iteration of Gasper's ATM management products.
Mike Montello, vice president of operations for Fiserv EFT, said his company was particularly interested in Gasper Vantage's ability to deliver reports via the Web. "Gasper Vantage allows clients to track transactions and monitor tickets from their desktop. This is the type of user convenience we want to continue offering our clients in the future," he said.
While Fiserv EFT was able to use Gasper's ATM management suite "out of the box" without enhancement, the company has since added several other components, including auto-maintenance functions that change the color of trouble tickets to match specific problems, and Gasper's Transaction Monitor, a program that facilitates review and resolution of issues involving ATM/debit card bases, software, hardware and communications.
The addition of Gasper's Medallion Services, a premium-level program that provides ongoing, strategic system analysis and support, helps Fiserv EFT identify fraudulent ATM usage as it occurs, automatically shut down the system and immediately notify the host institution. The program also periodically tests the system to determine whether an ATM is working properly and notifies the ATM operator when servicing is needed.
According to Montello, in the five years that Fiserv EFT has used Gasper's ATM management suite, Fiserv has enhanced the level and quality of its service to clients, decreased help desk turnover and maintained the same level of staffing while increasing the number of ATMs it manages from 2,000 to more than 5,000. Average ATM uptime has increased as well.
"From monitoring to driving, (Gasper's) ATM software helps us meet our clients' day-to-day needs. Even more, Gasper's reporting capabilities help our clients increase their uptime and evaluate service levels across the board," Montello said.
