First National Bank & Trust to close all bank lobbies again

Without specifically mentioning the state's recent surge in coronavirus cases, Michigan-based First National Bank & Trust has closed the bank lobbies at all locations until further notice, according to a press release.

Michigan is facing its biggest surge and highest average for daily new coronavirus cases since April, with 1791 new cases 23 more deaths, bringing the state's total number of cases to 144,897 and total deaths to 7,010 according to a report in the Detroit News.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, the health and safety of our customers and our employees is our first priority. We are continuing to monitor the situation daily and thank you for your patience during this time," First National Bank said in the release.

Customers of the bank can still use the ATMs, drive-thru, mobile app and telephone for banking transactions. Night deposits will also remain open at all location. Customers requiring additional bank services or loans can make an appointment at a branch office.
