Fifth Third Bank delivers special payment to its front-line employees

Fifth Third Bank has announced it will deliver a special payment of $1,250 to its full-time employees who have provided banking services to customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bank will send the payment to employees who had that role between May 10, 2020 and April 5, 2021, and part time employees will receive $625, according to a press release.

This is the second of such special payments that Fifth Third Bank has given its workers during the pandemic. More than 7,500 employees will receive this second payment.

"As we have said time and again, we are appreciative and proud of our employees, and it is our ongoing commitment to support them in good times and in challenging times," Nancy Pinckney, chief human resources officer at Fifth Third Bank, said in the release. "We especially want to thank those employees who have been front and center helping our customers during the pandemic."
