The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council has launched an industry outreach website to share information about financial institution supervision with FIs, regulators, the public and other stakeholders, according to a press release.
The council's industry outreach program was created with the goal of furthering communication between the FFIEC and financial institutions, trade associations, third-party service providers, consultants and others.
The website provides access to archived FFIEC-sponsored webinars and information about upcoming events, the release said.
The FFIEC was established in March 1979 to prescribe uniform principles, standards and report forms and to promote uniformity in the supervision of financial institutions.
The council comprises six voting members: a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; the chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.; the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; the Comptroller of the Currency; the chairman of the National Credit Union Administration; and the chairman of the State Liaison Committee.
