The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas gave a $225,000 grant to Immerse Arkansas through its member Arvest Bank. The organization will use these funds to build a homeless shelter for young adults in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to a press release.
The shelter will provide housing for runaways, young people aging out of the foster care system, human trafficking victims and other homeless young adults.
"Our goal is to help young adults in crisis become whole and resilient people," Eric Gilmore, executive director, Immerse Arkansas, said in the release. "We are deeply grateful for the partnership of FHLB Dallas and Arvest on this project, which helped us to fund construction costs of the shelter."
"We are thrilled to celebrate with Immerse Arkansas and the entire state on the opening of this unique shelter that serves young adults," Virgil Miller, CRA director, Arvest Bank, said in the release. "This shelter meets a critical need in our state, and the FHLB Dallas AHP grant helped make it a reality."
