WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. scheduled four April public hearings to discuss the proposed Wal-Mart Bank application for federal deposit insurance. (Read Draft: Federal Register Notice for Public Hearing.)
According to a news release, the hearings will be held in the Washington, D.C., area, and the Kansas City, Mo., metro area. Hearing locations will be announced on FDIC's Web site.
Written requests for oral presentation at the hearings must be delivered to FDIC by March 10. Hard copies of written statements and summaries must reach FDIC by March 28.
Requests may be delivered by e-mail, mail (Robert E. Feldman, executive secretary, 550 17th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20429) or hand-delivery Guard station at the rear of 550 17th Street (located on F Street, N.W.).
