Euronet announces management changes

LEAWOOD, Kan. - Euronet Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: EEFT), an electronic payments provider, appointed Miro I. Bergman to chief operations officer of Euronet's Prepaid Processing division, and John Romney to managing director for Euronet's EFT Processing Segment, EMEA.

Bergman will assume a key role in providing leadership and strategic direction for growing and operating the Prepaid Processing division's subsidiaries and offices in 10 countries. Bergman will keep his title of executive vice president of Euronet Worldwide, where he is based in Europe.

Bergman has been instrumental in expanding the EFT business to 16 countries, increasing the ATM count by six-fold and achieving strong profitability for the division over the last five years.

Romney will take over the managing director of EMEA EFT for Bergman. Romney will be responsible for ATM, POS and card-related services to customers throughout the EMEA region. Romney will develop and implement strategy for the region.

Before being named managing director, Romney was senior vice president and CEMEA regional manager within Euronet's EFT Processing division, where he oversaw network services operations in Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will retain his title as senior vice president of Euronet Worldwide.
