EFTLogix is first to use TNS Connect

December 18, 2001

RESTON, Va. -- EFTLogix, an ATM processor and switching company, is the first client to implement Transaction Network Services' TNS Connect, a dedicated, private IP-based network that transmits ATM transactions to the required processor hosts.

TNS introduced the new product to the market just last month. EFTLogix, which is being purchased by Concord EFS, will use TNS Connect to serve its high-volume ATM customers, such as those with ATM placements in casinos.

Noting that his company has used TNS' ATM and dial-up services since 1997, EFTLogix President John Willmon said, "When TNS Connect was introduced, we immediately saw the benefits of faster communications by using a secure, dedicated line for ATM transactions."

During the implementation phase, TNS project managers and engineers worked with EFTLogix to assess their customers' needs and to identify the ATM locations that would most benefit from the new network solution. TNS Connect was installed, tested and certified by TNS personnel, and all network connections are managed and monitored from TNS network control centers in Reston, Va. and Sheffield, England.

"It was very important that TNS manages the connection and monitors the lines and routers. They have become an extension of our team and provide us with a service that we do not have in-house," Willmon said.
