The European ATM Security Team has announced the addition of a national member from Indonesia, Fraud Banking Investigation Halo BCA, a division of Bank Central Asia.
According to a press release, BCA was established in 1957, and operates more than 17,000 ATMs.
BCA will participate as a non-SEPA member of EAST, whose primary focus is the Single Euro Payments Area.
EAST has national representation from 26 European countries, including Austria; Belgium; Bulgaria; Cyprus; the Czech Republic; Denmark; Finland; France; Germany; Greece; Hungary; Ireland; Italy; Liechtenstein; Luxembourg; the Netherlands; Norway; Malta; Poland; Portugal; Romania; Slovakia; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland; and the United Kingdom.
EAST is seeking national representative members from Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia, the release said.
Non-SEPA members of EAST include Brazil; Canada; Indonesia; Russia; Serbia; South Africa; Turkey; Ukraine and the United States.
EAST said it seeks to establish links with parties who can share their country's national incident and loss statistics for ATM-related fraud and physical attacks.
