Dollar Bank tackles ATM skimming head on

Dollar Bank is working with lawmakers regarding an ATM skimming scheme, which occurred at various locations with a particular influx in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, according to a report by ABC 4 WTAE.

"We've been working with federal, state, and local law enforcement on the investigation," David Campbell, VP of corporate security, Dollar Bank, told the news outlet. "We also took the time to look into what cards might have been compromised, we alerted internal departments to be prepared to take unauthorized claims from customers, and we wanted to make sure we're reimbursing the customers."

In the meantime, Dollar Bank encourages customers to use the Card Control app which lets users turn cards on or off if they detect suspicious activities.
