Diner's Club Ecuador intros digital bank via Temenos

Diner's Club Ecuador, a franchise of Diner's Club International and an issuer of credit cards in Ecuador, has introduced a digital bank via the cloud-based Temenos Core Banking, Payments and Analytics platform with Amazon Web Services. The club is initially providing deposit accounts, with plans to introduce interest bearing deposit accounts and billing services later, according to a press release.

The software-as-a-service platform can help businesses launch financial tools on scale. With Temenos Analytics, the Diner's Club can use predictive models and AI to provide more personalized services to members.

"Our mission is to be a lifelong partner for our clients, helping them at every stage of their lives. We wanted to embrace a digital-first model, giving clients the flexibility to access our services online at the click of a button on a 24/7 basis," Monica Carrion, VP of services center, Club Ecuador, said in the release. "By launching the first digital-only bank in Ecuador with Temenos and AWS, we are setting the standard for banking innovation in Ecuador and within the Diners Club International franchise network globally."
