The turnkey solution lets an FI's new customers quickly migrate their recurring payments and deposits to a newly opened bank account, the company says.

Digital Insight, an NCR company, has added the automated account switching system ClickSwitch, to its product suite.
According to an NCR Corp. press release, ClickSwitch is a turnkey solution that allows an FI's new customers to quickly and securely migrate their recurring payments and deposits to a newly opened bank account. This process can be carried out by the accountholder in as little as 10 minutes using a mobile device or personal computer.
Digital Insight will provide the solution to its financial institution customers through a strategic alliance with the company — also named ClickSwitch — that developed the product.
"Our relationship with ClickSwitch reinforces our commitment to provide innovative digital banking solutions," said Jeff Hughes, general manager for Digital Insight and CTO for NCR Financial Services. "ClickSwitch is an excellent addition to our existing suite of SaaS solutions as it helps our financial institution customers decrease new account attrition."
Research by consumersunion.org has shown that 59 percent of consumers think switching financial institutions is "too much of a hassle" because of the difficulty involved in changing direct deposits and bill payments. One result is that almost half of new bank accounts are abandoned within 90 days of activation. ClickSwitch increases the likelihood that new customers will complete the changeover to a new account, the release said.
