EDMONTON, Alberta -- Datec Group Ltd., provider of information technology solutions and services in Australasia and the South Pacific region, has signed a three-year contract with Bank South Pacific worth $4 million Canadian (about $2.8 million U.S.) to replace the bank's ATM network with 100 DieboldATMs.
Datec, which has sales offices in seven countries and some 350 employees, will also maintain the bank's existing ATMs while the new equipment is installed.
According to a news release, Datec also has signed a deal with Diebold to promote and sell the company's ATMs in Papua New Guinea. Datec is in discussions with Diebold to secure a similar agreement for other South Pacific countries where Datec has a presence.
