Diebold providing remote mngt. services for Indian bank's ATMs

June 3, 2004

MUMBAI, India - Diebold Systems Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Diebold, Incorporated, has secured a contract for professional and managed services to the Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

Under this contract, Diebold Systems will provide around-the-clock, real-time remote monitoring and management from its dedicated Managed Services Center in Mumbai for Jammu and Kashmir Bank's network of more than 100 ATMs.

Diebold's monitoring center predicts the needs of the bank's ATM network -- such as cash replenishment -- and tracks its performance. The Diebold network management team also addresses the ATM's performance in order to improve customer availability.

Diebold also offers Jammu and Kashmir an electronic journal uploading service which transmits data to a central location and facilitates online analysis. This service makes reconciliation and settlement simple without compromising on security.

Content management services enable updating screens securely, without opening the ATM. This allows for constructing advertising campaigns and downloading icons, screen graphics and MPEG videos to ATMs.

The Jammu and Kashmir Bank's 110 ATMs have also been supplied by Diebold, including a solar-powered machine at Leh.
