NORTH CANTON, Ohio--Diebold, Inc. is in negotiations to acquire equipment maintenance operations for Bank of America's Western region. The deal excludes maintenance of PCs, alarms and branch automation.
A multi-year, multi-million-dollar-per-year maintenance outsourcing agreement covering ATMs and other bank products also is under discussion. Bank of America, however, will continue to own and operate the ATMs.
Completion of the deal is expected by the end of September.
