Fiservand DBS Bank have received honors from Asian Banker for a jointly developed in-house network management center that enables end-to-end self-service banking terminal monitoring and management.
The partners were recognized in the "Best ATM and Kiosk Project" category of the Asian Banker 2014 Technology Implementation Awards, a news release said.
The Asian Banker awards recognize achievement and identify emerging best practices in the implementation of technology in banking operations.
DBS implemented Device Manager from Fiserv in its self-service banking command center to gain real-time visibility of the SSB network, automation of incident management and end-to-end accountability of network availability.
As a result of the project, DBS, the largest bank in Singapore, increased ATM network availability through improved fault management, service management and proactive troubleshooting, according to a news release. Service performance improvements and cost reductions were also cited as a key benefit of the project.
"With one of the highest transaction rates in the world, the DBS ATM network is a critical channel for the bank," said Brian Jorgenson, vice president and general manager for cash and logistics at Fiserv. "By taking control of this channel ... DBS has dramatically improved customer satisfaction in Singapore and established a scalable platform to support regional expansion."
