Dallas man sentenced for multiple ATM thefts

Dominique Marquis Childress, 29, has been sentenced to 57 months in prison for taking part in numerous ATM thefts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He was a part of a group that would steal ATMs from stores, according to a report by WFAA.

The group would use sledgehammers to break in through storefront windows and pull out the ATMs with a chain attached to a stolen vehicle. In many cases, the ATM and vehicles would be found abandoned by the side of the road later.

The investigation against Childress was conducted by multiple police departments and the FBI.
