The Age: Electronic payment systems firm, Customers Ltd, announced plans to acquire the Autocard ATM Network.
Autocard currently operates 250 ATMs across Australia, with a national sales infrastructure spanning Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The Autocard deal follows Customers' January acquisition of almost 700 St. George Bank merchant ATMs (read also Aussie bank sells ATMs to independent operator). Customers now operates 1,250 ATMs Down Under.
Customers managing director Greg Baker said the acquisition would provide strong strategic benefits.
"Not only do we gain a quality ATM network, we also secure an experienced ATM sales team," Baker said.
