NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) is promoting
Diebold, Incorporated's (NYSE: DBD) new line of ATMs, Opteva, to its members through a strategic alliance with Diebold.
According to a news release, Diebold and CUNA already offer a full line of ATM equipment and supplies, managed services and electronic security products through the alliance, which was formed in 1984.
Wes Millar, vice president of Strategic Alliances for the CUNA, said in the release that consumer convenience, improved availability and increased security are among the features that CUNA members will be able to offer to their customers with Opteva.
Introduced in March, Diebold's initial product release includes the four units installed most often by ATM deployers: an advanced function, through-the-wall walk-up ATM, the Opteva 760; an advanced function, lobby ATM, the Opteva 720; a through-the-wall, walk-up cash dispenser, the Opteva 560; and a lobby cash dispenser, the Opteva 520.

"Our long-standing relationship with CUNA has allowed us to focus on the growing needs of credit unions, which are typically eager to adopt advanced technology," said David Bucci, Diebold's senior vice president, Customer Solutions Group, in the release.
With its network of affiliated state credit union leagues, Credit Union National Association serves more than 90 percent of America's 10,000 credit unions.
