Cummins Allison, a provider of ATMs and coin, currency and check handling solutions, has announced the addition of an automated deposit module for its full-function ATMs.
In a news release, the company said that its ADM simplifies the deposit process with a single-slot device that accepts up to 100 bills or 50 checks.
A graphical interface guides the customer through the transaction, providing instant verification of the deposit, as well as a receipt that includes images of the checks and a detailed count of the cash deposited. Sophisticated counterfeit detection ensures that notes deposited are legal tender, the release said.
The ADM also significantly reduces the amount of time branch personnel must spend handling manual transactions by diverting deposit processing from the teller line to the ATM.
“The performance of this new ADM is very impressive," said Cummins Allison EVP Frank Janezic in the release. "It handles large deposits extremely well, allowing FI customers to complete transactions quickly.”
According to the release, all full-function ATMs offered by Cummins Allison are ADM-upgradable, giving customers the flexibility to add ADM "when the time is right,” Janezic said.
