Cryptera secures PCI 6 certification for encrypting PIN pads

Cryptera, a provider of encypting PIN pads to the kiosk, ATM and fuel pump industries, has received international certification from PCI Payment Card Industry for its full range of EPPs, plus its CryptoTouch PIN on glass portfolio, according to a press release.

The PCI 6.x approval covers three different EPPs and 12 different touch screen sizes ranging from 5 inches to 27 inches.

CryptoTouch PIN on glass technology allows for secure PIN entry on a touchscreen and can be used in various transaction and payment environments such as financial kiosks, ATMs, petrol forecourt payment, parking, ticketing and quick service restaurants.

The solutions are approved for online PIN transactions and may be combined with a secure card reader and an NFC reader for contactless transactions.

All modules hold PCI certifications, and both card readers are EMV approved and hold international card scheme approvals.
